CIGP participated in the Series B financing of Newcleo, investing pari-passu with prominent strategic and financial investors, and be directly represented on the cap table of the company.

Newcleo is a frontrunner in the next-generation of nuclear reactors and in safe, circular, and modular nuclear energy solutions that address the pressing needs of decarbonization, energy security, and independence.

The company seeks to develop and license their Lead Cooled Small Modular Reactor technology to leading industry players whilst owning and operating spent nuclear fuel recycling facilities that will feed their reactors.

Opportunity Origination: CIGP secured the opportunity to invest directly in Newcleo’s cap table, leveraging its direct access to key management. Through the deal, CIGP sought to offer investors the opportunity to deploy capital in the hard-to-access nuclear space.

Investment Analysis: CIGP has conducted in-depth analysis of the company’s data room, summarizing the highlights, in addition to its investment thesis, in an investment memorandum. Through deep cooperation with its Wealth Management team, CIGP selected potential investors that sought exposure to the growing nuclear energy sector.
