CIGP participated in the Series B financing of Newcleo, investing pari-passu with prominent strategic and financial investors, and be directly represented on the cap table of the company.
Newcleo is a frontrunner in the next-generation of nuclear reactors and in safe, circular, and modular nuclear energy solutions that address the pressing needs of decarbonization, energy security, and independence.
The company seeks to develop and license their Lead Cooled Small Modular Reactor technology to leading industry players whilst owning and operating spent nuclear fuel recycling facilities that will feed their reactors.
Role of CIGP
Opportunity Origination: We secured the opportunity to invest directly in Newcleo’s cap table, leveraging direct access to key management and founder. Through the deal, we sought to offer investors the opportunity to deploy capital in the hard-to-access nuclear space.
Investment Analysis: We have conducted in-depth analysis of the company to form a holistic view on the investment thesis. Through deep cooperation with CIGP’s Wealth Management team, we selected potential investors that sought exposure to the growing and hard-to-access nuclear energy sector.
